How many of you are still employed there? If you are still working there and unhappy, why would you just stay and complain? Why not stop crying and take action? Perhaps get up and go find a job that is fulfilling for you? If you are still employed there and happy but concerned perhaps its time to stop surrounding yourself with negative social media and figure out what you can do to contribute to positive change. Either way commit yourself to one of those directions.

The future of SgAS is simple. It’s a dead company working intently on finishing in its grave.
I'm still here. My beef is the lies. I've put damn near 20 years into this place. I have no expectations of loyalty from the company in return for mine, and I'm about the farthest from d---beat you can get. However, the lies and BS from seniors just rub me the wrong way, hence my need to vent.
Ironically enough, I'm looking forward more to the VC's coming in. If they choose to let my team go, fair enough. If they want me to stay here, I figure I'll get more honesty out of them than I got out of senior leaders in the past.
You are insane lol it is going to get bad stop being stupid this is not going to end well we are now controlled by venture capitalist, not s good thing wake up and see the facts don't get snowballed they are not going to build the company you will see big change I. Next 5 months all upper management gone new board and there goal is to make money fast not grow a business. Wise up sheep

Definitely agree with OP. If you are not part of the solution, then you are likely part of the problem. Restructuring might eliminate some of the dead wood that's been keeping us from making us a leader in the industry. It's time to put up or shut up.
It’s time to buckle up and get going. We finally found our fate and it really isn’t all that bad. With all the debt, we got lucky we are going to be a new company. We have good people at sungard. Our leadership did the best they could, but they missed the big picture. And it’s not all giggles fault. I could point some fingers, but it’s not healthy. Change is going to happen, but change needs to happen. We need to figure out what we want to be and be the best in it. Any company can lay anyone off at any time. Hell, Steve Jobs got fired from Apple once! And you have the right to leave for a different job whenever.
I agree as well. I noticed a positive buzz today. While talking to some others its apparent that there is some momentum here. Would be cool to make this happen and be part of it.
Very very broad general statements. Unless you are in the thick of it, you have absolutely no idea what employees are dealing with on a day to day basis both professionally and individually. The time for a pep rally has long passed.
I agree with who ever posted this. It’s abundantly clear that all or most of these posts are written by disgruntled d---beat employees looking ride a wave and not willing to actually work.
Some of these people have invested years into the company and I guess they feel cheated. Personally I don't let my identity get wrapped up into a company. I fulfill my obligations as an employee and gauge what the company is doing for me. But my loyalties don't run that deep. I mean really, how could they after quarter-on-quarter layoffs?
But really, OP, this is an anon site regarding layoffs at SG - what'd you expect to find? If the what you call 'b--ching/moaning' offends your sensibilities you don't have to read it. Just don't assume that everyone's gonna be as positive as you.
Also, if you are an employee at SG, make sure that the reality of the situation doesn't escape you. I was in a similar situation 20 years ago at another company. I had coworkers who had been there 12 to 15 years and when they were laid off, they were like stunned. I mean DCs were closing left and right and there were annual layoffs, but they were still surprised when it happened to them.
Yes - I agree - some of the posts are bit much, but I'd expect to see those on a site like this.
