Just curious..... how many current PC/TC 's are actually interested in applying for this position?

I am a PC and I will NOT be applying for the people lead. I have already started looking for employment elsewhere.
26 yrs with Walmart and I feel the same. I 100% feel like I'm being pushed out. If it wasn't for the insurance, I would take the severance and run. Just feels like a count down until July. I have no interest in opting in to this new position. I wish them luck. Many associates with much heart and talent will not be there any longer. What a shame. Look how many peoples lives this is changing.
I too am 60, a PC and stay because of needing insurance. I am waiting to see what happens. Have to just wait and see. Sad how they have us over a barrel. We are all at their mercy. I should have left a long, long time ago. I stayed because I love my job and because I loved Walmart. Not anymore. All they are concerned about is making money and cutting payroll and associates.
You should secure positions as soon as they open, having to waiting until the end would probably only be if your waiting for severance. I am 60 PC and while it sounds good I still need health in insurance, if I didn't have to have insurance I would quit for the severance
I'm currently a PC. I keep trying to think about the pros and cons of this position. One pro which is pay increase but my cons far outnumber the pay increase. Severance sounds really good but I too am too young to retire. Currently looking at other positions. If we are not interested are we allowed to take another position now or are we stuck here until the end?
Definitely not!!
I am a PC and 25 year associate and I will not be applying for the position either. Hoping severance will be offered like they have done for everyone else. I really think with all of the experience that will be leaving the company, Walmart will have a hard time filling this position with the high performance candidates they are seeking. I'm too young to retire so I look forward to exploring new horizons. I clicked on the training to take a look at it and was actually a little offended by it. How to write an email?!? Really?! I'm glad they recorded my clicking through it as being "interested".
Not sure if I want to cover 2 stores. Not for me as I see more about the duties. Like I said earlier, they want to get rid of all LONG TERM associates. Shameful. Pay isn't worth it and there is way too much to do for 1 person. I am too old for this and they are trying to drive out long term PC/TC's. Let them have their way and they will see just the quality of people they end up with. Not my problem. I say take the severance, if offered and get the heck out.
I feel the same. I'm in a Division 1 store. I do not want to cover 2 to 3 stores!! I will be opting out of this position. I'm curious though, if we can stay in our job code until PL starts...
After reviewing the video, I have made up my mind that I will not be applying for the PL position. It is not worth the risk that I might actually be selected for this position . . .
I'm curious as to what the turnover on this position will be. Will be interesting for sure.
Sure is a far cry from how I remember it back in the early 2000s. PCs co ordinated staff parties, holiday decorations, local charity events, publishing the WM news letters and honoring associate's birth days. They seemed to have fun doing it, and in turn created a fun atmosphere for others.
That’s some so called training.......first thing that bothers me is going from 7am to 4pm Monday Thur Friday to working all the times, no life....I’m too old for that. Second only a couple of dollars more for probably a lot more work. Last leaving the store I’m at now and going to another one.
I’m wondering about severance, will we be offered severance? What if we opt out, will we still get severance? I really don’t know if I really even want to apply, or even stay at Walmart. I know there is no job that compares to the pc job I have now.
Exactly! I clicked on it but it was horribly outdated and just click here click here click here kind of stuff. No actual training of anything. I could learn more from a YouTube video.
No thanks on the position for me. Not sure what I want to do but its a no for PL
I think 25 thousand clicked on the training, maybe hopeful it was actual training. Too bad it was all outdated
25,000 associates has taken the training. So someone must be interested
