WV Techs from CWA are once again being forced into IBEW legacy areas Charlestown-Romney to clean up their load. Techs will get no reprieve on their points even if they are cleaning up someone else’s mess. Thanks IBEW, you won’t survive the next contract. BAU

heard from management last week cwa techs loaned into IBEW areas could be permanent. still reporting to there cwa area but working in IBEW...

I.B.E.W. flat SMOKES CWA !! here a lil info on the CWA ….was originally put together for ATT/Bell systems workers IE. operators, frame techs, CO techs etc. never meant for Rank and file workers. I have worked for both CWA and IBEW hands down IBEW stronger, better pay, better representation. a better Union period . I am currently CWA and am getting squeezed out form age and pension matter of fact probably taking early out tomorrow morning....because the CWA is WEAK WEAK WEAK.....they have been in bed with our company for years and its now showing the fruits of that conjunction

You cant be serious...do you know how many total techs there are in Jefferson County? 11, no RT techs, no service techs, no construction...the C.O techs have to do 4 diff job functions. 2 cable splicers, and 5 IR techs...seriously how is this IBEWs fault. It was called ISPs...
This is not IBEWs fault, this is a company issue. You can not have 25 people leave a union and not backfill jobs...30 people to cover 5 counties is pretty difficult task...thr techs that went to IBEW are from the county next door...there is a huge difference in the amount of techs between the 2.
Nothing, there just isnt enough of them. Already short handed and 3 just retired. Gonna get worse as the weather warms up
