Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Who read this weeks THE HUDDLE? Hatchet Hackett schools us on INTEGETY. Seriously!?

Mister CEO you have a lot of nerve Sir.

You have proved you have no clue what this drawn out process is doing to employees mentally and financially. Waiting to be cut or not cut for months on end, then shamefully walked out without fanfare, means those that are retained will carry the scars ever bit was much as those let go as will all Ford families, dealers, and customers.

Up until the last few months I was proud to work for Ford. I was proud my company didn't take a government bailout in the last big downsize. Last time was hard but was done with compassion and relatively quickly. Not so with the smart redesign of 2019.

Employees know they will either be let go to start over with a sad separation package for the number of years they've been loyal to the Blue Oval, or they will be kept and face an ever-increasing, unmanageable, workload while surrounded by the empty workstations of now unemployed friends.

Mister CEO Hackett are you then so bold as to lecture us about INTEGRETY. You may be able to quote websters definition of the word, but actual integrety and compassion are absent.

Man, we are human beings, with families, and friends. At least we all (those cut and those left to clean up and work even harder) know where we stand. Don't we?

It's a shame.

It's not about right sizing the business. It's how you've done it so far that is the issue Sir.

The Moonbeam CEO strikes again. Learn how to read a room, Jim. Maybe next time try and understand someone's point of view instead of condescendingly handing them a book.

I think you’re missing the point. He also mentioned the difference between integrity and a mistake.

Might be related to recent announcement of review of FE tests for Ranger and other vehicles. Certainly doesn’t fit “most trusted company” theme, but may try to spin it as an “honest” mistake. Not sure how public will view it, since Ford had to restate FE numbers a few years ago.

Could also be an as yet undisclosed issue soon to hit the fan?

My sentiments exactly

Actions speak louder than words. If one has integrity it is obvious from your actions.

The person prattling on and on is nearly always running a con game.

I was hoping someone would post on this week's "Huddle". I actually laughed when I read it. But it was a bitter, painful laugh. Hackett must think we are all really stupid.

Some more layoffs are targeted for the week of April 8. In our department we were told it will all be over by mid May, but there are other departments that will not be done until June.

I don't see "integrity" in any part of any of this.
