I sincerely think that Rami Rahim deserves Oscar, not for acquiring Mist, but for number of layoffs he conducted during his tenure.
I have talked to couple of times casually in Juniper buildings before and I think he is number one bull sh--ter. I would rate him as one of the stupid CEOs around.
Those who thinks that Rami deserves Oscar for stupidity, please like this post.
Juniper is the next Theranos,
...and Rami the next Elizabeth Holmes.
With all the financial misreporting, and rebranding nonsense without real innovation, it's just a matter of time before junior is a thing of the past.
PS,
I never got laid off at Juniper and most of my stay at Juniper is rewarding. But, I am not a fan of Juniper leadership. Though I am big fan of Juniper in general , especially for some of the good and hidden heroes I used to work with.

Here is the link. Forgot to mention in my previous post. Juniper overpaird for Mist and Juniper can easily pay $100k bonus to all sunnyvale employees and boost their morale rather doing this acquisition. I am 100% confident, this acquisition goes no where rather rewarding well for Mist leadership.
