@Yhv3QxP-2zrg thank you for the lightbulb moment. I think I made a very big mistake coming to Ford out of college. I had researched Ford on Glassdoor and saw several detailed reviews saying “only come to work at Ford if you will be content not accomplishing anything” and that “mediocrity was rewarded”. I erroneously discounted those as there were so many brief positive reviews.
I have come to the conclusion, it is time to move on as Ford will not fundamentally change.
My youthful early professional eyes are the spotting hidden agendas. They saw the LL4 who challenged the CIO pet project with data showing why the project was bad idea - he even detailed a better, cheaper solution, be smart redesigned out of the company. They saw the CIOs chief competitor be smart redesigned out of the company. They saw the LL6 who developed the entire strategy be smart redesigned and a week later another LL6 (id--t) had become the official author of the strategy.
My conclusion the company truths are a farce. Any young professional reading this, if you are wanting to hone your craft and grow as a professional DO NOT COME TO FORD. Ford is where you go when you want to kick back and relax and retire.
