Thread regarding SAP layoffs

Layoff numbers for the Bay Area

In case anyone is interested, saw this reported in the Silicon Valley Business Journal today:

Citing a “permanent restructuring,” SAP confirmed with the Business Journal Tuesday evening that it is laying off 446 Bay Area employees. The cuts include 179 people from its SAP Labs headquarters in Palo Alto, 173 in San Ramon and 94 in San Mateo.

SAP said the workers will be let go no later than May 15. The roles most affected by the layoffs have the title “development expert,” followed by those with the title “product expert,” according to filings with the state's employment department. The majority of the roles cut are senior-level positions.
