A ban on an iPhone 6 or 7 ain't much of a ban. Does it really have any noticeable affect to ban old products??? Very old products....

Most of those patents can easily bev easily worried around with a simple SW change. And only baning imports are being discussed, so Apple will still be able to sell current inventory, which could last for a long time.

Are these victories hollow???? Some sure appear hollow.

Dont think apple making a modem is any challenge to Qualcomm . Its probably easier to throw money at lawyers , media and politicians and get results you want but a whole different story to be competitive in modem in a reasonable timeframe. And even then they still will likely need to pay royalties if qcom wins the anti trust cases. It's great for us engineers though to have demand for talent in the marketplace . At least while it lasts.

AAPL = Blackberry

Love it until you don't.

Gonna enjoy the reminiscing though...

"Remember Apple. Oh they were all the rave. Nobody could every beat their ... Fill in the blank." Until somebody did and they became irrelevant. Oh well. Yesterdays news. Pour me another beer Jack.

Bell bottoms dont last forever folks.

Q is losing overall at the present moment, but everything is far from over, rulings have already switched places in some cases and before any import bans take effect the iPhone models being banned will be obsolete.

The real danger is Mav making their own modems and/or floating Intel modems in an envelope more competitive environment.
