Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

Prince

In all seriousness, ha anybody else heard that AUSA has purchased an outside contracting company? Someone mentioned to me the other day that it was Prince. Kinda of unnerving. They could easily unload ATS and use them

the sad irony is at one point, 2010 or '11ish, the talk I was hearing from management in my depot was that CV was moving towards a final goal of not using contractors at all and having all work done by in-house techs. Funny how things change 180 degrees years down the line

We have a 401k too! Even before the CWA came calling. So

What are they doing for us that we didn’t have already again?

Verizon no longer offers the pension. New hires have 401k that’s it. If you have one you keep it

Honestly Altice is the worst company ever to work for! They don’t about us or the customers!

Ok, if Verizon pays the pension, no reason they couldn’t have gotten us one from ATS. But they didn’t. I’m a dumb a--, and your the one happy to be second choice to the guys who are supposed to represent us. Seriously? You really think our guys mean anything more to CWA than membership numbers? You are a stooge!

I would just like to say to the guys who think the union is useless that we had a fiber supervisor in Nassau County who sent email to all techs on LTA informing them of changes in there schedule & OT. That email was sent to our union & the next day that supervisor sent email apologizing & that it was an error. STAY STRONG & STAY UNITED!!!
