Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Is the eight announced stores it?

I see people saying in other threads that more than eight stores Walmart announced are closing in the following weeks and/or months, is this true?

Why would Walmart officially announce just eight and not all the stores that are closing? What would be the point of that?

(In case people are wondering what stores I'm talking about here's the list: Walmart Supercenter in Lafayette, Louisiana and one each Walmart Neighborhood Market store in Arizona, California, Kansas, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington.)

There is a way to report stores that are closing even if they are hiding it.

You can report it on TheStoreClosing site

https://www.thestoreclosing.com/c/walmart

I've entered messages for the stores in this batch

What are the exact locations? Coming up with only 9 stores based on verifiable news stories and state websites.
