I've seen posts on here regarding accessing funds at Fidelity. I received an email notice today to login regarding options during 'transition from employment' related to DCEH. It listed general options, upon logging in. However I believe it also stated the the decision time was within the next few weeks.
Talking with spouse, but likely rolling over rather than withdrawing, as soon as possible. Anyone else have tentative plans ready to go and/or heard from Fidelity?
I checked my account with Fidelity and it now says savings instead of 401k. Does that mean I can roll over to an IRA account?
...although there may be a minimum amount needed in your account in order for you to keep with Fidelity.
Why rollover, Fidelity is a great company. You should not have to do anything if you are a vested Fidelity customer. Just keep being a Fidelity customer. Fidelity will eventually remove the DCEH banner across the top that shows after you login. DCEH has nothing to do with administrating your Fidelity plan. The Fidelity 401k offering was was created just so you can have funds withdrawn directly from your paycheck into YOUR personal Fidelity account. DCEH going away does not mean your Fidelity account goes away.
I rolled mine over to an IRA with schwab. . I asked Fidelity what their fees are and they led me on a lengthy goose chase and never actually mailed me the promised material. . bye bye Fidelity. .
I'll be rolling mine over and calling Monday to start the process. This is the last piece of the puzzle for me in this long journey at Ai. Ready to move on to whatever is next.
