Many private equity and venture capital investors are now “panicked to just get out,”

A slowing global economy and bond market signaling recession ahead.

These scum will take whatever money they can run with.

Sycamore - I hope you scum loose you @ss!

Penny Stock - I would not be at all surprised. More than likely, bankruptcy for Staples. That would make much more sense.

Thank you Sycamore! and FU Sandy Jesus D!

Headed to Orlando for a nice vacation later today. I have heard how great careers are being destroyed by the consulting group. A leading rep now working small and mid level accounts.

Text book American greed. SP cashes out and Staples has a remaining debt load that they can’t possibly manage to overcome. Remember the 1st lie? “Nothing changes, your boss is still your boss, your job is still your job “. Yeah, lasted until your boss was fired and you were next.... funny.

Poor Tom S is turning in his grave. He built a great company and RS killed it. RS allowed his global ambitions to destroy Toms company.

Good to great to gone.... RIP TS.

The IPO chatter could be a test balloon designed to attract potential Staples suitors to Sycamore’s negotiating table.

The problem is - no one in their right mind would come to this table.

lol!

Loading a retailer with more debt hasn’t exactly been a winning strategy in recent years — as the Sears and Toys R Us implosions have taught observers.

Staples will die now.... the corpse has been picked of its remaining meat.

"saddle the company with roughly $1 billion of additional debt"

"The transaction will increase Staples’ debt load to $5.325 billion from around $4.25 billion"

"The cost to protect Staples debt against default for five years surged 99 basis points to 466 basis points, the biggest jump since 2012"

THIS COMPANY IS DOOMED! Thank you Sycamore!

I hear the drum beats of doom! More cuts in ‘19 are guaranteed till they have the “right” size to pass it one to the public. I remember the first statement about SP was now “we can maneuver easier without the constraints of SEC scrutiny.” True, so they could rape and pillage the company for cash. Not make investments improvements. What id--t that does any due diligence would would purchase Stock unless it was a Penny stock. There’s no future with Staples. Those terminated this past go around are the ones blessed as they can enter th market place before th ship is completely under water.

essentially these were called LBOs in the 1980s, leveraged buyouts so companies like SP could s--- out the cash and toss an empty shell out to s--- in public debt. Every single word from your manager is a lie. Every word from the C officers is a lie. Leave now, you do not want to be there a year from now.

This is the beginning of the end for Staples. Over $5 billion in debt?? Staples will be snapped up in bankruptcy ( see Jones NY and what SP did to them). All of you id--ts who stay and defend- “ oh this is right size now” are stupid... stupid... stupid!! They are draining the company dry. No one cares about the future of Staples— they just care about squeezing every dollar out of it before they kill it. You are a spike in the whee of their master plan. Nothing more. The sooner you realize that— the better off your future will be. You have a defining moment in time right now— will you choose the right path?? Or look ago with massive regret in the near future? The choice is yours!!!
