Any other Pc/Tc totally overwhelmed with the unknown of their job, the changes with cp dropping today, efile next week, Core hours, etc..?

I'm thinking that they will give us our 60 days starting from the date you opt in or opt out of the position. I've already started looking into other possibilities. Either another position in my current store or transferring to a different one closer to home.
If the job starts Week 24, or July 6th. 60 days out is May 7th. They would be giving us our 60 day notice on May 7th. Not sure????

I spoke with a MHRM today and was told current PC/TC will need to be out if role 6 weeks after the opt in/out for People Lead position. They didn't know if severance was being offered. I expressed my thoughts and opinions on this whole situation. I strongly feel that we were and still are being left in the dark on many things. I told him that at this point, I will not be opting in for this position. 20 plus years.... now finding my way on another path. Not sure where that may lead .....
no one knows about severance, no knows what the last day will be for pc/tc. I call BS on this. From the market team on up, all are paid liars. I have no respect left for this company
The new People Lead will start week 24. Week 24 is in Q2. Why would current PC wait until Q3 to go? Are they thinking we will train these folks?
I don't trust any of them. Sorry, they lie to your face and swear to it. My friend was in Invoice. She asked her MHRM, Store Mgr. and Market Mgr. about her job being eliminated several years ago. They told he no, we have not heard anything about it. We have no idea what you are talking about. Within 2 weeks, BINGO, her job was eliminated. You don't tell me they had no clue? I say BS. I don't trust any of them. All they are worried about is their own jobs and their livelihood. Hope they get to feel how it is to have their job eliminated and have no damn clue what they are going to do or IF they will even have a job in Q3. I believe in KARMA.
The New People Lead position will be selected during the 2nd quarter Regional Selection process. The PC/TC positions will go away during 3rd quarter. I just hope that severance is offered and that we can leave when the new People Lead starts work. I really don't want to train my replacement. It would be nice if I knew the date. I want to get on with my life. I'm sticking around for severance but right now its hard to care about my job.
I bet that PC who responded will make such a friendly People Lead and do outstanding! Man, I wouldn't want to be in that store..... my heart goes out to his/her associates.
For those who think we cannot do the People Lead, let me tell you something. Its not easy being a PC/TC and doing it ALL by yourself, especially when you get no help from your Asst. Mgrs and management staff. All of if falls on 1 person. This has nothing to do with not being able to do the People Lead. PC/TC role is different from People Lead in case you didn't know that. Doing the PC/TC job all by yourself is way too much to do for 1 person, let alone doing all the hiring, orientations, taking care of associate issues on a daily basis, fixing missed punches, GLMS, Pathways, meal violations, packing up files for e file, and the list goes on and on. I am told the People Lead if different. Lets hope so. I am looking for a change and a role not so hung up on paperwork. It sickens me that we are all left in the dark. Too bad our management team couldn't be more transparent, and the MHRM's too. Its all hush hush. Not sure why but let me tell you, we are all disrespected. All other job eliminations were handled much differently and people knew exactly what was going on. Shaking my head everyday and this is the cold hard TRUTH.
We were told the Market HR Managers and Regional HR Managers were doing the interviews. Heard it on a conference call. We were told Store Managers weren't involved in Interviews. Since this is such a hush-hush thing, I don't believe anything I am told. its just another way to get rid of long term high performers so they can brainwash the "youngins" they want in the position. Face the facts, we all know what is going on. I am not stupid.
TO @YcnJ4vE-1cfh You assume incorrectly. I am on of the PC's, and if you are one that can not handle the change now with all the new projects...Well, then face it. This role is not for you. I have nothing to prove here. I am giving you the cold hard truth. If you can not handle Core, along with all the other responsibilities now? If you have not been involved in the last year with all things SM and Salary, then this is not the position for you. It has nothing to do with kindness, although I probably could have stated it a little nicer. Nice or Kind or NOT , it is the truth.

Interviews are going to be like the Regional ASM panel interviews.
There is no way that the Regional Human Resource Managers will be doing the interviews for these positions. I highly doubt the MHRMs will be doing the interviews. They may have input on the decisions, but ultimately the Store Manager will be choosing the People Lead. I am a Store Manager.
Wow! No need for such negativity. Hope you feel better after telling those of us who think this is alot for 1 person, to "face it"..... I'm assuming that you are not one who is facing the fact that their job is being eliminated. Have a little more kindness when posting please.
If you can not handle this then you will not be able to handle People Lead. Face it.
Wondering about the post who said they learned today it will be a salaried position. Who did you hear this from? Anyone have any idea on the date we need to be out of our PC/TC role?? I still can't believe that mostly everything about this position we are in the dark on. I find this so disrespectful. Use us to get everything in order and then good riddance! Over 25 years and this is what happens. But, this new People Lead sounds like way too much for one person.

Agree, if we are chosen, we will not stay in the stores we are in today. We have to move. This is where the travel part comes in, this was revealed by MHRM and Store Mgr. For most of us "long term" PC/TC, they want us out. They want fresh, new "YOUNG" faces in the role, those who they can "brainwash". No offense to those who are young . No meant to offend anyone. Its the truth. They want those who they can mold, teach and push into Asst. Mgr. positions. We were told us long term PC/TC are career blockers.We stay in role too long and won't let anyone else do our positions. OK, didn't know that was so bad, especially if we do a great job. They are looking to get rid of us because of our tenure, pay and the amount of PTO we get. Sam would have never allowed this to happen. he cared about his associates. Such a shame when they want to push long term associates out. Play your cards right. Make a wise decision. Hope all turns out well for everyone. Just wave to wait and see how it all turns out. I heard MHRM and RHRM will do interviews. Well we know how that is going to work, especially if your MHRM and RHRM don't like you. I am not expecting a position. I don't want all the added stress, headaches and work. Its simply too much for 1 person to do it all. Not worth it.
I still don't think it will be salaried with the name "People Lead". The term "Lead" has always been given to hourly supervisors. A more appropriate name if it was salaried would just be Personnel Manager.
Your current position of PC/TC is going away, it is being replaced by People Lead. There will be no PC/TC anymore, hope I have cleared this up for those saying they haven’t told us current positions are going away.
They are not telling us everything because they want us to get all the work done for the new person, they don’t want us to quit and no one left to do it......they want us to worry and wonder over all of it.
They will tell us everything they want us to know in due time, like hours, if salary or hourly, even severance pay. Believe me they know all the answers to all our questions.....
Our MMHR and RMHR will be the one doing the interviews, not our store manager. (This info came from my MMHR ) We will not be chosen to stay in the store we are in now, but will go to onother store,if chosen, which I don’t expect to be chosen, because of the fact of who is doing the interviews.
My opinion is someone with a degree and younger will fit the “new Wal-Mart” job better. It’s ok I probably don’t want all the added work load, nights and weekends anyway. Just give me my severance and I will be on my way, out of this crazy Wal-Mart world we live in everyday.
I was told today that it will be salaried. Maybe thats why they are not saying anything. I see a mgmt restructuring coming and them getting these positions. Just my honest opinion.
If management does anything like they do now stores are screwed. More like store managers are screwed.

When they actually do "tell" us, we will have 60 days to find a new position. I need to get my resume and do more job searching. What they didn't realize was the stress of the extra time to get ready. I may break before we get there. I say the new People Lead will only have a 4-6 years before they decide to get rid of it also- just a thought.
I feel we are left in the dark, they won't tell us anything except our positions are going away. What a joke. They won't tell us hours,the shift, nothing, and they say they don't want to get rid of us!!!! Like I believe that. We are doing all the grunt work and then BINGO, they let us go so they can HAND PICK who they want for People Lead job and it won't be US. Let them pick whoever they want. I can tell you I WILL NOT TRAIN my replacement. Let them figure it out. Not bitter, just fed up and humiliated.
They want to push all the new changes, so we can teach everyone else, they will call that the people lead position. When everyone is trained the people lead will go away, That is exactly what happened at Sams Club. Upper Management has been so disrespectful to all personnel offices
That is what is so frustrating. Every other time that they have eliminated positions, the affected associates were told when the changes would happen, and what their options were going to be. We have been told NOTHING other than there was going to be a a new People Lead position that everyone could apply for. And we no virtually nothing about that position. They haven't even had the courtesy to actually tell us that our current positions were going away.
