He didn't mention anything, but I know for sure he saw me. How much trouble am I in? I'm worried I'll be handed a pink slip once I get to work today...

Well.....what happened? Close the loop dammit
A good manager will say: "I see you're looking at job postings. Wanna talk about it? What are your concerns? Let me try to either help you stay, or to find something else."
That manager would be a class act. But what would a guy like that be doing at GE?
Show him your fatty donger!
Tell your mgr to stop s-xually harrassing you. I promise he won’t be looking over your shoulder again.
You are still there? Your manager is still there? At this point both should be looking for another job ...
Capital has actively encouraged this behaviour since 2015
Who cares, you should have left by now if you’re that worried.
He will get the job you put in for. Or he will be your new manager at your new job.

It was understandable that people were dumb enough to do this in 2001, but in 2019? Sheesh. Only on your personal smartphone at lunch. How dumb can you be?
Normally this might be a concern. But consider GE's present state, and he really can't blame you. He is probably doing the same thing. It's bad form to do it openly, though. Use more discretion next time.
Seriously, I work in IT here, and while you might be surprised to see from our logs how many people are now looking at job openings over the company network... it's very common and not a big deal anymore. We have other more important things to worry about.
no trouble. He will probably be doing the same thing.
