Schools are closed for flooding and they usually send, at the very least, a be careful and do what you need to do email. Often they would close the office knowing the issues with childcare when schools close. No email yet. They have truly stopped caring about us. Stuff like this will make morale even worse. APC are you listening?

Ah I miss those emails. Haven't seen an apc address since 2015....
Well, guess I got out at the right time!
But seriously, good luck comrades!
The care went away when Hackett left
Not really, with so many employees spread out all over Houston and burbs, some who are in an area that’s not affected come on into the office, others in affected areas work remote.
Take matters in your own hands and take a PTO or vacation day. If you don’t feel safe driving then don’t and most employers would understand. They can’t force you to come in when it is dangerous. With school out and most daycare facilities closing with them many people would be forced to stay home, but you may need to pay with a PTO or vacation day.
It’s called advanced planning for safety. School districts were communicating by 5AM. If you don’t care about safety then don’t care, but you should find another business to work in.
the roads aren't even flooded...sack up
What you are looking for takes leadership.
I'd honestly prefer to not hear from them at all unless the office is closing. I hate those vague, wishy-washy emails like "hey be careful and don't come to the office unless you really need to." Okay...so you've now just easily identified people who don't think their job is important enough to come in. Just make a decisive move and close the office if anyone is at risk.
