Why is no one from Juniper involved in WICT? No one listed as supporting on the web site.

Gainspeed's virtual CCAP would have fit nicely with all the c-ap BK is trying to do, but you have to admit Gainspeed is much better off getting picked up by Nokia. For the better of the greater good, I am glad Juniper passed over keeping them and made some money on the >$10M series B investment.
Remember Gainspeed? Could have owned cable future. Ask anyone. Juniper choked. Biz is down by 80% since passing on them. JNPR could give a c-ap about cable. Clearly. I’ve paid the price. Give me a package please.
It's not that juniper doesn't give a shït about cable. The reality is what juniper has to offer for cable and broadband just sücks so bad no one really cares. That's why the women who are involved with cable have plenty of time to attend the WICT events and anything else they want to do to look busy.
Enjoy yourselves ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the ride while you can.
LOL WICT? Juniper doesn't give a sh*t about cable anymore. passed on so many golden opportunities. reputation in cable totally shot. move along nothing to see here.
I don't attend any WICT anything - The last women's thing I attended here was years ago when KJ was still around. Since then we've had no support because we lost all of the women IN leadership. We had a powerful company back when KJ was around and most of the VP's were women. It was empowering back then. Today, you only get taken care of if you're male and Indian. Right now I'm part of probably one of the only 2 groups that are led by American males that appreciate my work.
Hope your back is holding up at VMware.
As a former female manager I can attest to this. Nothing I could do would permit my promotion. I wasn’t nascar enough apparently. I quit a few months back. No regrets.
Juniper is only as bad as any other Bay Area tech company for women to work at. No better. No worse. The problem of inequality is not uniqe to tech companies either.
Adding three female board members does show initiative on Juniper's part, however the really meaningful actions that matter to the masses will come from any changes implemented in the future to equalize the workforce for all genders -- to equalize pay, to equalize promotions, and opportunities for career advancement etc.
However, knowing how we operate, chances are we will first implement gender equality in these stealth layoffs, moving forward, and the "genius" management team will soon be left with even less female employees than we have now!
Not Juniper. Just CG.
Agree entirely with OP. Juniper talks a good line, but there is no support for women in the everyday. Beyond outright harassment, I've seen several occasions where women were clearly kept in their place by male mgmt. Talking over them, not shaking their hands when meeting for first time, asking the few women on team to get snacks for big meeting... it's pretty gross.
Finally someone else realizes this. I’ve seen many women leave Juniper over the past year. What does this tell you?
The I&D person also left Juniper. Diversity is a complete joke here. You can see the ratio of female to male is 1:10. Juniper is a male oriented company.
All the VP reporting A.A. are very rude and nasty person, they verbally abuse their engineers and managing by threatening.
This site is beat. It’s done. Boring. No one ever comes here any more. This stuff is all made up drivel. Any truly interesting posts are blocked. Let in the juicy gossip about people at Juniper and you’ll have a winner. Everyone likes to make fun of the political idiocy and the ambitious dullards. Think, the Office plus Bravo channel. I guess I’m too much of a lazy fatass to start it myself. Pathetic. I’m outta here. Have fun guys. . .
Seems like the few women in leadership are leaving Juniper in droves - either being rif’d, leaving out of pure frustration for not getting ahead in misogynistic Juniper, or smart enough to see the writing on the wall and getting a better opportunity outside. Some of the only ones left are in soft skill areas like HR or Marketing. It’s important for women to watch what is DONE at Juniper, not what is said regarding equal opportunity.
There's a lot of hate at Juniper, of which the worst is ... Everyone hates making good decisions.
Not being involved does not equate to hate.
Endorsing nascar in the age of trump makes us look outright racist. Embarrassing.
