Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Layoff Steps

How do they do it (layoffs)?

A phone call? Conference with HR?

How does the actual act of communicating that you've been laid off happen? Do they call you in a conference room? If yes, who is there?

What do they tell you? Who's talking?

How long does it take to complete the whole thing?

Based on the info from GM does anyone know Fords formula? Years of service + age = ?.

I heard the decision to let go one some will be similar to what GM has done in the past as outlined in the link below some one posted here: https://www.thelayoff.com/t/YZk9ZpI

So it is purely how much money the company can save long term and nothing to do with the performance

All good questions. That's one part of the process I haven't heard too many details about. There is talk about separate specific letters that are read aloud depending if safe or a goner. But until someone on here posts that have gone thru it already, its just speculation right now.
