Does anybody still believes there is such a thing? Both older and newer employees - do you think a long term career is still a viable thing at DST?

In a word–no...but hey man, it's a gig economy!!!
With the push to move all they can to offshore, it is doubtful that there is any long term future there. With customer dissatisfaction and the number of employees leaving DSTPS, I would expect there to be replacements to the management team.
I been here 15 years, girlfriend 25 and counting
Get out while you can.
Depends on what you mean by "long term". They have mature lines of business that make money, which are certain to continue for many years; mutual funds aren't going anywhere, insurance claims systems aren't going anywhere. These are their main lines of business. BUT SS&C does seek to cut cost and automate as much as they can. I expect the current remaining, highly paid, subject matter experts to be let go as younger, cheaper people are brought on board, and more and more development, support, and qa, is sent offshore.
One thing that limits how much they can send offshore is the fact the most financial, an no medical clients will allow their data to be sent offshore. So that necissitates a small US base cadre to handle day to day operations and troubleshooting.
So I think a long term career (5-10 yrs?) is possible, but not until they cut more on shore staff, and are forced to hire onshore due to attritiion, for example.
