Thread regarding ADP layoffs

End of year reduction?

Is anyone hearing the same rumors that there is a focus on finishing the current fiscal year, and then announcing a significant reduction at the end of June?

2pcd - I am sorry that this happened to you. Like you, I have a kid in college and a mortgage and was "retired" in 2018. I hope you land on your feet and are able to find a decent job. Mid 50s should still leave several years for your next employer.

Keep in mind that ADP executives are very much aware that if employees are laid off prior to June 30th, they will not have to pay any bonus payment. Same thing if you quit before that date.

What office and b/u’s were those in?

Two were from Alpharetta, one was remote, all from National Accounts

Thank you 2pcd! Everyone thinks it’s easy to find another job and it’s not!

It is horrible what ADP is doing.. these are our lives, our families we are talking about. I have kids in college, a mortgage, and for those that will reply about "life outside ADP" .. easier said than done, try and find a job for a man mid 50's making $70K a year... if you can, please let me know

I've already heard of several middle managers being let go, and a VP, this week. I'm sure a realignment is next, the manager shuffle...

I suspect there will be action taken on titles and roles. Especially when people are holding the same title as their boss and having VP's reporting to VP's, directors reporting to directors. Sure does feel like ADP is running the playbook from the activist investor from a year or so ago.

There was a time when new fiscal meant time to be concerned, unfortunately it’s become a moving target that could linger on throughout the calendar year based on what was ‘missed’ and how to recoup.

Same rumors at calendar year end-January.

The chopping blockers weren't all included in January.

Maybe after fiscal, maybe not.

Only HR knows.

I had heard something similar. I was told that from August through the end of the year on it could get a bit " bumpy".
