I've seen people actually asking why this is happening, so I guess it's not obvious to some.
Let's have a little fun with this question. Here are two choices as to why it's happening, see if you can get it right.
A)Nestle's Execs see blue skies ahead and expect nothing but increasing sales for the forseeable future.
B)Nestle's Execs DO NOT see blue skies ahead and increasing sales for the forseeable future.
Yes, I know the company reported glowing results to Wall Street, like almost every other major corporation which are also laying off thousands. Welcome to the era of BS financial reporting, accounting gimmicks and financial smoke and mirrors.
For those actually in those departments, you know what I'm saying is true. Others who know nothing about these fields will probably mock and laugh in their ignorance. But in the end, the company is laying off thousands for a reason. and that reason is the same reason for all companies, money.
This site is chalked full of stories like yours, by major companies in every sector of the economy, even nurses and teachers are losing their jobs. And no, the mainstream media is not reporting it because that would inform the public that maybe the economy isn't BOOMING.
We just can't have that now can we?
