I need advice on what to do with my APC 401K shares. Should I dump them? I think they make up 10% of my 401K.

You could always take those shares and shove them up your a$$.
CVX employee here. I expect CVX to counter, on Friday. But, it wont be acceptable. CVX walks and we get $1B. APC employees, undoubtedly, will have severe layoffs by Christmas. I expect OXY share price will tank once the deal is done and after a few quarters. I also expect analysts will tank OXY stock because they took away from CVX ... u see, CVX is the darling of Wall Street, they play by the rules, say the right things and cater to the analysts. I expect CVX stock to hit new highs by end of year ... assuming Trump can stop tweeting.
Who cares??? it’s the sum of the cash plus the shares of stock to arrive at your value.

Why would you sell your APC stock? The current deal pays shareholders $59 per share CASH for each APC share you currently hold!
Typical investors. Obtain a two year high and you are all worried about an extra $1 of return. Have fun with that.
Wait the four days to see if chevron counter offers, I’m assuming they will. CVX stock always has a good yield, and would be worth keeping in your portfolio. OXY on the other hand more than likely will crash and burn. They have seriously over reached with this deal. They should be praying for chevron to counter as well.
Dump it.
sell your APC fund and move it into something else. The price will drop after the merger is signed and like the other person said, you dont want Oxy shares.
Do not take Oxy shares. Dump APC now.
