Thread regarding Sungard Availability Services layoffs

Are severances affected?

Will the usual package be reduced now that we are officially in Chapter 11?

Considering the communication around the place would not be shocked if it was eliminated. Best bet would be to have an game plan in place. Looks like an rocky road in the future. Hopefully things would actually out. Versus the lip service being offered up.

As stated, chapter 11 was settled.

Expecting to be let go?

I stopped expecting severance awhile back.

If it's provided, great - but if not, I've simply accepted it.

Everything else has been cut down to the bone so removing severance wouldn't surprise me.

Yes, when a company files for chapter 11 seceremces can be effected, as they did not file for full bankruptcy payouts will most likely be given but there will be a mass reduction in force if not by the new owners by someone who buys SGAS entities as most likely the new owners will chop the company up into bits to recoup their money they lost.

Not an expert but just my opinion and read a few articles regarding severances once companies file for chapter 11
