Thread regarding Nestle layoffs

What kind of severance Nestle offers?

My dad works for Nestle, and he's been a nervous wreck for the past several days. Now that I've found this page, I finally know why.

I was wondering if somebody here could tell me what kind of severance does Nestle offer? Especially if somebody's been with the company for nearly two decades. Just to know how bad things may get for my folks in the next few days.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your answer. Anything is better than no pay.

Unless things have changed, 2 weeks for every year of service, plus bonus $$ and weeks depending on age/years. 20 years of service gets a small bump and over 50 as well. Also, another nice thing, is that they pay severance bi-weekly, as of you are still getting a paycheck, rather than in a single lump sum. This is especially helpful for two reasons, if you are unable to find a job right away, there is a steady steam of money coming in and lower tax rate since it is not a single check.

As for people with less than five years of service, the minimum severance was either eight or ten weeks.

What if you're under a year? I'm literally 19 days shy

most likely 20 weeks if over 40 or 45 u get and extra 4 weeks over 50 is 28 weeks but that was a reroute buyout
