Deal reached to keep Art Institute of Las Vegas open amid financial struggles

UPDATE MARCH 8 2:35 P.M.: The Art Institute of Las Vegas professor William Turbay says the Department of Education confirmed today that the Las Vegas location is staying open. Students from other closing Art Institutes are already enrolling to the Las Vegas location.

After learning of the dire financial situation of the prior owner, Dream Center Education Holdings, professors William Turbay, Tim Kelly and Lisa Mayo, aided by local businessman and educator Richard Rock bought the college.

AI's real problem is that the up and coming is Internet savvy and know about the bleak job market. They don't want to borrow massive amounts for a worthless degree so they can ask customers if they would like fries with that. That's why all these overpriced for profit schools with poor student outcomes are crashing and burning.
