How else can you explain his (and his staff's) decision making over the past 6-12 months. Maybe E (nordic telecom giant) or others will only buy JNPR if the stock is cheaper. For someone who speaks about "culture" and the "Juniper Way" all the time -- his actions sure don't seem to help either. Rolling layoffs for weeks on end (all done in stealth mode), morale that is becoming toxic (and never addressed by leadership), workplaces that are empty (halls of Westford & Ottawa are practically ghost towns), Sr. leaders abandoning ship, etc. RR, KM, AA, BK and ML are doing an exceptional job of destroying what was once a great company. Guess it is time to join all of the others and look for the exit

BK vs RR is like alien vs predator
how many of you believe BK will beat AA?
The problem with Juniper go FAR, FAR beyond just engineering. Yes, engineering has always been the core of Juniper's strengths, but clearly the issues are more than just engineering, technology and product. Look at the circus that has become GTM. RR brought in a new sales leader only to dismiss him after a couple months. GTM has always been a bit of secondary thought at Juniper (no offense meant to the GTM team), but it has gotten much worse the last couple years. I think one of the biggest problems was when PS formally left. Once he left, there was no one to ensure that RR and his executive staff stayed true to Juniper's principles. We have seen what RR has done to the company and it is sad to watch
Bringing the stock price down does not help Nordic-E buy Juniper. They have long written off Juniper and are only dragging on talks to negotiate customer deals. Unfortunately Juniper's management team doesn't realize this and keep getting played, Everytime.
RR, BK, AA, ML, MM and the rest of the leadership at Juniper are by far the worst exec team any silicon valley company can have and it is not surprising that they are taking steps to do damage control and build a positve image despite all their very public failures.
I don't believe RR is purposely trying to bring the stock price down. He might be trying desperstely to stay a few more years as CEO, despite all the negativities related to his performance and leadership, there is no reason for him to drive the stock price down.

left the engineer w/ a worrying mind...
I strongly believe AA is responsible for the rot in engineering. Unfortunately, the rot is so widespread, it is no longer possible to fix this.
How many of you believe AA is responsible for rot in engineering ?
