Thread regarding Conduent layoffs

Severance just two weeks?

The severance was 4 weeks and now because the company has money issues you will only get two weeks no matter how many years of service. This is a sinking ship and will lie and take you down with it! Get out now!

Is this true? Some people are saying four weeks are still an option for some - does anybody know for sure?

As a red badge one gets no severance. Be thankful you get any. I'm a single parent.

It is 4 weeks max. 4+ years = 4 weeks, 3 yrs = 3 weeks

They apparently changed the plan for severance at some point (oh and apparently did not tell that to the employees along with everything else they never communicated) It maxes out a 4 weeks for anyone over 4 years even. The company is a s*** company and I would encourage anyone who can to get away as soon as possible.

Just give it another month and there will be no severance.

If you are worried about 2 weeks vs 4 weeks, you are in trouble no matter where

you work. For anyone who has worked 10, 15, 20+ years at a company and

to get a measly 4 weeks is awful. Long gone are the 2 weeks for every year worked etc.

And they will probably start salary cuts soon and furloughs.

2 years or less will earn 2 weeks

3 years will earn 3 weeks.

4+ years will earn 4 weeks max.

Only data point I know of for severance is a woman who worked for the company for 14 years (if you include the previous companies), and when she was let go she only got two weeks severance. That was a long time ago though, probably a year ago. I didn't think to ask the other people that were let go from our department.
