Thread regarding Splunk Inc. layoffs

Is there a way to change course now?

I'm wondering, does anybody here see a way in which Splunk could correct course and start improving instead of continuing on the path we are on right now that is anything but successful?

Or is it too late already? I'm personally leaning towards the "it's too late" option...

The Splunk President of Field Operations or sales came from Salesforce and Sun Microsystems. The smoking gun is that Salesforce was founded by former Oracle people and Sun got bought by Oracle. The whole of Silicon Valley is incestous.

I left after 3+ years once the carpetbaggers started flooding in. Those are the new (often mediocre) leaders (joined post 2016) who are hiring other bad leaders from their personal friends and collectively “stealing” money (meant figuratively) by hoarding the RSU pool each year, spreading them amongst themselves (Director and above) as well as burying legitimate reports of harassment, bias, and other crimes. They now protect each other from scrutiny and accountability by (literally) falsifying internal productivity data.

An examination of the job-hopping and bad reputation histories of many of these leaders is disturbing.

The company is definitely the modern-day Oracle in that there are really well-trained and high-performing sales reps and other staff that are vigorously recruited by other companies. Yet, the company overall has a cult-like internal propaganda engine that exists to brainwash as many frontline employees as possible into believing that being abused, overworked and undervalued is the norm everywhere and they should fear leaving for another company

One should not publicize their academic credentials unless it's from an accredited higher learning institution, otherwise you become the butt of jokes.

The entire management team are incompetent and corrupt to let this go own and themselves must be fired.

Shocking and amazing I read this post below and apparently the Splunk CISO still has his job after a major breach then had the company sued separately for harassment and discrimination in the same year?

He should be FIRED!!!

Why have them stop wouldn't it be better to have them double down and accelerate their demise?

Another soon to be legacy company that will be bought by a private equity firm or by Micro Focus or Opentext where companies go to die.

The execs are more concerned about gorging and dumping their stocks before the company crashes to do sh*t about anything. They're all in it together and there is no corporate governance in place to put them in their place, which is to fire them.

They've fallen and can't get up the competition from Chronicle, Exabeam, Sumologic, Elastic, AWS Cloudtrail, and others is frightening.

It's too late. The creatures are only maintaining the status quo of below mediocrity to vest their RSUs. Many issues include execs and managers hiring their friends from other failed companies such as Yahoo and Symantec and turning the place into a dirty ghetto.
