Thread regarding ADP layoffs

Is VP round next?

I heard that the "VP round" is next, though I am not sure I believe it. I was told that their are a number of VP's that were part of the process in eliminating the higher paid, higher skilled, longer term good employees that are themselves in the cross hairs. I kinda could see it as it would eliminate some of the responsible ones for such a mess and give cover to the execs, but I am doubtful. Too many fakers and liars at the upper levels now. Just look at the results today. Stock down big as the "earnings" were up but the revenue is down. That translates into "we have no vision and we eliminated the skilled employees to gain a short term fake boost in earnings by lowering expenses at the long term detriment of the company and clients see it and are leaving and lowering revenues". Anyhow, I do believe many more layoffs to come as it is the only play they have - continue the lies at any cost so they can extract as much short term boost as possible for the select few executives.

Agree with the previous poster that many VPs need to GO. They are the ones stirring up layoffs and scheming!!! Get to steppin!!

Truthfully, I have almost no respect for any of the "VP's" at ADP. They all are lying scheming fakers. They all need to go. Seriously.

BCG = Boston Consulting Group - ADP has paid them millions over the years for "advice"

What is BCG?

Anyone remember "OEI" BCG's last round of reorg "help" back in the early 2000's. 1-8 span of control, no more than 8 layers top to bottom. With all of the movement to centralized locations, it's easier to expand span of control so you can bet the middle and higher levels of the company are targets.

Carlos has to prove too the board and Wall Street, that they didn't make a mistake. He has made commitments that need too be kept, at the cost of the EEs. Yes there will be more lay offs, no speculation there. BCG has already crunched the data.

I think the previous poster regarding Pershing Square is correct. From what I remember when all that went down, Carols was not in disagreement with William Ackman's findings. Ackman didn't get on the board but I does look a lot of what he proposed for the coming is currently being done by sr mgmt.

Isn't this exactly what the Pershing Square activist investor suggested a year ago? I thought I read somewhere that they accused ADP of having too much in headcount, especially executive headcount. If that is the case, it looks like ADP is just following the playbook that was thrown at them.

Many of the ordinary associates were also excellent, yet they are gone. Being excellent didn't save their jobs at ADP.

All of this now is pure speculation but we’ll see if the ‘good ole boys ‘ are soon gone. Mixed emotions ‘if’ it’s true because many of them are excellent. If it’s true I hope they eliminate he bad ones.

@-1ssy. It's actually five direct reports. Anything below I'd say you are toast. I agree, fed up seeing directors wthout direct reports, VPs reporting into VPs.

It’s about time! Too many VPs and directors with minimal or no direct reports. Also there are VPs reporting to VPs and directors reporting to directors. What a joke! I really hope they stick to the rules of 10 direct reports or more to be in a mgmt position. This mess needs to be cleaned up!

Makes a lot of sense to eliminate some or a lot of executives to save on more labor costs.

There are a few VPs I'd be happy to see be shown the door that's for sure.

I have heard the same rumors. Much discussion about reduction of headcount at the executive level. Renewed focus on span of control and how to eliminate cost.

Yip, anyone in a management role, think directors and above without direct reports, are imo, in the line of fire.
