Thread regarding DST Systems layoffs

DST needs to stop getting rid of people

We can't lose anymore people and continue to function properly. Too many people have been laid off, too many have left on their own, and too few were brought in to replace them. We are doing the work of two-three people each and if we have to pick up even more work it'll break a lot of us.

Enough is enough.

The rumor is that there are a lot more onshore DSTPS employees that are looking to leave.

With all developments moving to India, that is a pretty good idea.

A lot of people are leaving DSTPS. CIO has given notice. Several managers and directors have left. Several other IT and non IT employees have left. Several more have given notice.

What is going on?

My group is slow, people come in late, take two hour lunches and leave early Thursday and Fridays. Some of you are way over exaggerating your work load. Even my boss is nowhere to be found 75% of the time. Everyone is looking for another job, no one gives one cr@p about performance. Its all about getting another job.

Sorry, but it's foolish to take on more work in this situation. Certainly DO NOT work overtime! The company is choosing this path, if work doesn't get done due to lack of resources, it's not your problem, it's theirs. Mgmt has to prioritize, when they do, a lot of this "work" will just disappear.

In the earnings call they're talking about cutting more cost in IT, they talk about making automation a priority. This is what they want, few people. They having some valuable learning events coming up. Let them learn.

S--- it up, do more with less. Execs can do as much work as ten of you neanderth@l's thats why they get paid as much as ten of you. Many get paid as much in one year as 100 employees, thats keeping the share holders best interest in mind.
