PC/TC last week of work in position will be Week of fourth of July. Ironic, I started the position 2 years ago that week.😂
What everyone is missing is that they have not enacted the WARN act yet. They gave use extra time to prepare and retrain. If the last day of the job is August 2nd, back up 60 days and that is when the Store Manager will officially give PC/TC notice that the job is ending by having that "talk" with us.
Also, if you interview and turn down a job---you loose severance. This way the interview comes before the Warn Act, so you wouldn't loose severance if you feel it is the wrong job for you.
I know, it is very stressful. Look up GWP on Reddit. When the new leads go into place, they will also have to interview. This job is going to be high paced and high pressure for high performers. Not everyone wants to adapt to the change in routine or the technology that is coming.

I don't know what the significance is of the 60 day period when they've given us over 90 days notice already. Also a previous reply mentioned the personnel files going to the shredder. They are being shipped to the scanning location, not the shredder. At least not yet. It's surprising how they did not require store managers to have conversations with PC/TCs. No, we just had to read what day our jobs disappear on the WIRE. At the same time as lots of people who looked to see what this new People Lead job was. Can anyone tell me what the opt in/opt out is? I guess maybe they want to know how many are opting for the severance package so they know how many extra bodies they'll have lying around when they don't get the People Lead.
Week 17 you can opt in or opt out. Week 18 you apply for the position. Don't know why you would have to opt in or out. Why not skip that part and just apply. But anyway once you have applied then you have to take the VR assessment. I think this is in week 19 and 20. After that the process of elimination starts. By July 6 they will have chosen who they want. Once chosen the associates who get it will get an all expense paid trip to Academy. We still don't know the exact date our 60 days starts on, but if we are given until Aug 2 to find another position then it probably will be starting around July 3rd.

Does anyone know what week the change will take place for our PC/TC associates? Today, the files of associates were being prepared for the shredder. I hope we kept good records electronically, somehow!
