Age discrimination lawsuit

Anyone filling a class action lawsuit?

SAP has a clear policy to fire older workers based on age alone in order to hire younger people so they can appear being hip, trendy, cool and young. It is part of their corporate strategy and clearly documented, with targets and goals set for hiring managers and recruiters.

If SAP's legal and HR teams read this post, they would laugh their as off in an arrogant manner and say out loud "So, what are they (scred employees) going to do about it?? Nothing!!! If they try to sue us for age discrimination, we will ask our top gun lawyers to drag things out until the employees' grand children become adults. At the same time, they will not be getting a penny from us!! So we win again, you worthless old losers!".

This is how SAP treats their long term loyal employees ....

Companies don't always get away with it.

See https://www.paloaltoonline.com/news/2016/08/24/age-discrimination-lawsuit-filed-against-hp

However, be careful with what you sign

https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/02/08/hp_age_discrimination_redundancies_lawsuit/

And get ready for a long battle. Typically companies will fight in court with expensive lawyers and they'll drain your savings

All large companies are doing the same thing, it's common now for companies to eliminate workers at 50 and above, not sure how they get away with it.

SAP has been very arrogant with this unethical business practice for a long time. It is banking on the fact that no one has the b*lls to fight them because they have high priced lawyers lined up. Most individuals that were kicked to the curb because of his/her age just don't have the financial resources and time to fight them so they just had to take it lying down.

The company is such a hyprocite when it comes to diversity, it is getting all kinds of diversity awards and recognitions from different sources. Have they forgotten that age is also included in employee diversity? They have made it very clear that they are only interested in early talents in new or existing opportunities. HR is celebrating in receiving all these diversity awards when they know the ugly truth.

I really hope that the previous poster will open the pandora's box and share the details with us. For those senior employees that's been impacted by the latest cut, I wish you all the best and good luck in getting back on track.

I have those numbers. I have those policies. I have the proof.

After I get my severance I will post them. SAP can sue me, can’t get blood from a stone (I have nothing) but more importantly truth, honesty and integrity is priceless.

Stay tuned for the biggest bombshell in corporate history.

Would be interesting if Judge orders SAP to show list and demographics of those who are laid off and “voluntarily resign”
