AILV is not part of the EPF / Studio deal or DCEH any longer. It is owned by professors William Turbay, Tim Kelly and Lisa Mayo, aided by local businessman and educator Richard Rock, they sprang into action to save the college and protect the education and financial investment of the nearly 500 students enrolled. You are no longer connected to the other Art Institutes other then the old website which will probably be changed very soon. Talk to the new owners.
Who got paid? We certainly did not.
my self-esteem is actually pretty low these days... so...
if you are not being paid you should not be teaching. . .you are enabling them to use you. . if you don't get paid do not bellyache. . seriously, who works and doesn't get paid. . how low is your self-esteem.. . and put-leese don't tell me you're doing it for the students!
Can’t wait to see this all blow up in someone’s face. What is it they say about Karma? And Mr. Big Man on
Campus, you have racked up a lot of it.
Since the receivership has been canceled, all of this has to be wrapped up by May 31. What that means is that Dottore has to find the funds to pay faculty by that time or we are out of luck. This was told to me by the receiver's attorney, Call her yourself if you want the information. Her number is (216) 771-5056. I am doubtful we will get paid by that time. She did not seem hopeful they would be able to locate the funds based on all of the recent decisions.
I can't believe anyone is working for a company that can't afford to pay wages owed. If they're that far behind on meeting payroll what makes you think they will ever be able to pay anyone? Even if somehow they gave you your past due wages tomorrow, how long will it be until you get your next paycheck?
Just for the record, AiO hasn’t been paid since March 1, and were owed their last two weeks on March 15 (promised in writing).
Stand in line ailv.
Who’s record?
I will never understand how anyone went into “work” without being “paid”. I would have fled the moment the first pay period was missed.
I want a contract in writing that states as a faculty I will be paid what is owned to me. So that when I’m not I will have a legal document in court. For too many weeks we have been told “You will be paid next week”.
Student workers and staff members have been paid. Faculty and administrators are next at every campus. Dottore's company and former and present workers have confirmed this.
