I just turned down a manager position.Managers are required to lie or disinform employees about lay offs which are common.
I was told that I’m going to have to dismantle 8 teams across several offices.
When asked how they said for now tell them they are safe.
I stoped right there and walked out.
I will NEVER work for a company that tells others to lie to people’s faces.

Yes, THAT's the CDK we've come to know and love.
They are only really hiring at certain offices. The offices they aren’t hiring at should be concerned. So should people who don’t share skills with the new hires.
If any of that is true, why are they hiring in all offices across the country?
The problem is you didn't look at it from the right perspective. Those people actually ARE safe. They are safe from dragons, space invaders, monsters and a whole bunch of things! True they are not safe from coming layoffs but again it's all down to rationalizing it in your own head. I would take the job!
