Sadly, we knew more of these were coming, so this is not much of a surprise.
A Beckley Rite Aid is closing its doors. The Rite Aid On Johnstown Road will close on May 20.

Actually, I wish they can sell all of the west coast stores to Walgreens. That would bring some decent money for Rite Aid, which they need badly.
Maybe they will sell all of the remaining stores to Walgreens soon.
I do believe all the West Virginia RAD locations were sold off to Walgreens;and not surprisingly,not all of those acquired locations are being retained as going concerns.The Rite Aid name has already disappeared from 3 other affected states(Louisiana,Mississippi,and Utah).Of the Colorado stores,only the 3 Grand Junction locations were retained by RAD while the others were sold to Walgreens;and of those,all have already been converted or shuttered by WAG.As WAG plans to shutter an additional 150 acquired RAD locations on top of the 600 already planned,it'll be a matter of time before additional states completely lose RAD within a matter of months.Thank goodness for being a Californian who currently works at a closure-proof location.
