A wise old man made this observation back in late 2012, when we were both in the downtown Houston office right after DVN announced it was closing us down:
"Devon used to be a small independent out of OKC. After all this sh*t it's just about to become just another small independent in OKC. What was the point?"
So true. DVN will shrink to a holding company, much like KMG did before being acquired by Anadarko. The major shareholders and execs will do nicely.
In the coming meeting, there will be opportunity for questions. This is where we ask about disparity between exec salaries and the average worker salaries.
