I worked at the West Bend, WI store and closed on April 22nd. That very day, we got an email saying that Phase 1-3 stores (that got and signed off on the severance agreement paperwork) will for sure be getting them. Phases 4-7 won't. Strangely, our store is Phase 4 but still got the Severance Agreements so it looks like my own severance is still up in the air but Phases 1-3 just might get theirs.

Where is all the money from the sales of "augment goods" going? Why is the liquidation company getting any of it? Shouldn't the employees and creditors get paid first? Aren't we in line for payment before their newest creditor Gordan Brothers? Wisconsin Attorney General, where are you? Creditor Committee? Labor dollars are being spent to process and sell these goods, increasing costs, where is the benefit?

Because you have been! And sorry no not even phase 3 got their severance and we were done a month ago! So leave it is not worth giving shopko corporation your time and energy when they barely can pay bills. Read the bankruptcy page They need to go to chapter 7 Bc of so many expenses
I have no store manager, no assistant manager, no apparel supervisor, and the merchandise supervisor is leaving at the end of the week. I am the only supervisor left and that severance pay was the only thing keeping me going. I'm down to 12 people and two of my workers are thinking of quitting after I had to tell them this today so I'm trying to talk them off the ledge as well as keep myself afloat. Everyone here feels like they've been lied to including me.
