Seems that not hearing about layoffs happening, while at the same time knowing that they will happen and that it’s only a matter of days is making me even more nervous than when layoffs are in the process. Any layoffs reported in the last day or two? Is there any word on when they might hit?

Fact: Approximately 200 hourly and 100 salary still scheduled to be layed off in June @ Salem site. Work still going to India.

There are layoffs going on. Many in Services were notified last Thursday, some additional this week. Expectation is the big round will be just before 4th of July. None of this is fake news.

No, it’s all been fake news reported by CNN
I heard from someone that I consider in the know at GE that Power was going to layoff 10% of the work force globally this week. Wondering if that happened. I am no longer a GE employee and was part of the big layoff in 2017.
