Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

Is BCG Running JNPR?

JNPR has invited millions upon millions of dollars over the years, and BCG has added zero value. The last reorg planned, managed and rolled out by BCG was a s$it show and completely mismanaged. JNPR should spend that money on hiring sales people.

BCG is a premium waste of $$$, as most consulting companies are.

But the one good thing is that as a 3rd party they can expose mud without political backfire.

BCG has been decent. But they’re irrelevant to a large group extent. The problem with Juniper has always been culture. Rami is just too soft. We all love him but we need more intensity. We are in a battle. This wasn’t the case 10 years ago in the cozy duopoly we operated in. We are in a battle. Man up. Cut the fat. There’s still plenty of fat. There are still plenty of people who are busy but busy doing meaningless work. Pushing paper. Coordinating with other people who are just coordinating themselves. Sure you have to have some support functions to run the business but we can get rid of so many more of these coordinators. We don’t have the scale for them. We’re not Cisco. Let’s thank them for their service and let them go to a growth company that can absorb them.

Yeah the BcG influence is something, isn't it. Are there any areas of the business where they're not involved at this point? It's like they're going through Sears and picking out which store displays are going to get auctioned next
