Thread regarding Purdue University/West Lafayette layoffs

Purdue University Global still preying on servicemembers.

Purdue University Global had an advertisement in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Times April 15, 2019 print editions. The ads made the claim that they offered a "world-class education" specifically for military members, and appeared on page 25 of each issue.

The ad states "DISCOVER A WORLD-CLASS ONLINE UNIVERSITY FOCUSED ON THE NEEDS OF MILITARY STUDENTS. Learn more at Military.PurdueGlobal.edu."

At the website, they also show people in uniform, with a disclaimer in very small print. There, internet enrollment advisors are waiting to sign up unwitting servicemembers.

These ads probably violate the school's Memorandum of Understanding with DOD because it shows someone in uniform. It also, in my opinion, represents False Claims that should be handled by the Federal Trade Commission (like the $100M settlement against DeVry).
