2 weeks is not true you can get 4 weeks pay for those that have been with company for over 5 years.
My husband worked remote....his boss did not call, it was his boss's boss who called to tell him. He is going to get a package at home with more info and box for laptop. Not sure his boss even knows as no call today from him.
The severance was 4 weeks and now because the company has money issues you will only get two weeks no matter how many years of service. This is a sinking ship and will lie and take you down with it! Get out now!
I don't know about working remote and being laid off, but when my boss quit, I asked him what I'd have to do whenever I quit, and after saying "Oh, so you were thinking of leaving too huh?" and ribbed me for it (I've done more than that, I've been on job interviews, just not gotten hired yet), he said that someone from IT should contact me and send me a box to pack up his computer into and ship it back, or at least that's what he did.
If there is anyone out there that has been laid off and worked remotely, how do they go about doing it? Do they stop access to from logging into your computer? Call you? Email you?
What locations were hit the last couple of weeks and did they work remotely?

My husband was notified today...RIF with no notice and 2 weeks severance. He has been at Conduent for 5 years...so sad.

They started over a week ago. I think they want to keep it as quiet as possible to avoid panic given the direction things are going. Anyone know how many total or what locations are hit yet?
