Another week with no layoffs. Lots of fake news here.
Not everyone, but some people who were actually adding value just got cut. Now the parasites will have even fewer contributors to compensate for their drag on the company...

A few more layoffs emerging in Power Services today. People are getting outlook meetings from HR for "confidential discussions" but not staying quiet about it.

Given that there are a quarter million people working for GE in the US, I'm sure everyone knows someone who was laid off.
There were about 40 layoffs last Thursday. Not exactly a doomsday event, considering recent history. Lots of sadistic a-holes post here with the specific intent to create anxiety and stress in as many GE employees as possible. These are deranged, unhappy people. Ignore them and your life will improve.

The people who are saying “Fake News” are out of the loop and have no idea what’s going on with GE. Myself and several others in power were affected and I’m sure there are many others also. Normally people are not shouting it through the rooftops that they were laid off, nor will there be Press Releases with this new regime needing to elevate the stock price. #StayWoke
Not Fake at all... I was part of Power Excitation, and was laid off Thursday... However that being said; It’s the best thing that could have ever happened. I have been with GE for 7 months, and am excited for a new opportunity. I am now free from paying the $10000 signing bonus I received September 2018, and I can seek an opportunity with a stable company (if such a thing actually exists). Honestly, I feel blessed to have gotten out before I became jaded and negative by the poor morale. We all knew it was coming... #GE #TheLayOffCompany

The number was over 300 people from power. Commercial team took some hits In Schenectady, we hear Greenville will be next week. Pretty stealth reductions and predicted but not well announced yet outside GE. If I were a GE employee in power dust that resume and start looking unless you are 100 % sure you are safe. Also, hanging around may mean doing more work for the same sh--ty pay. I know many of us have not seen a pay raise in three years or more. Great to work right ??

Layoffs have always been GE’s standard mode of operation. I don’t know when the next layoff will be, I just know there will always be layoffs coming to GE based on GE’s history of being a prolific layoff company. Anybody who thinks GE is wise career choice is an id--t. Unless you have the following traits:

Just because you insisted on making a fool of yourself yesterday is no reason to post fake news today. I'd be surprised if five people got laid off today let alone hundreds or major cuts or whatever scary words you remember from when you retired.
