Employed at JCP Logistics facility for Internet orders, not a store. Recent news has everyone baffled and angry. We were running 3 shifts a day, 3rd shift being quite small. They are going to ONE SHIFT ONLY, everyone on 1st shift, 10 hour days, 4 days a week. No second shift, but some coming in at 3 am for an "early" 1st shift. Causing chaos for people with kids and transportation issues-- starts May 26, and said to be for ALL warehouse/ .com facilities.
Rumor has it that they want building empty on 2nd shift to bring in outside liquidation company to start buying, removing products, reduce inventory and number of products we sell. Said to be a cost cutting measure too-- many of us got hourly bonuses for working weekends, 2nd and 3rd shift-- my pay will drop nearly 200 a month due to that. Many people ready to give up, throw in the JCP towel.
