Zaloumis Contracting Service is a utility telecommunication company seeking Aerial and Underground Fiber Technicians to fill full-time positions. This Position includes a competitive salary based upon experience.

Responsibilities:

Ability to utilize bucket trucks, crawl spaces, ladders, ceilings, tunnels, and trenches to access various installation and construction points as required

Safely operate a boom truck, climb poles as needed, and utilize standard tools of the trade.

Pull fiber through existing duct package, pull cable through conduit either manually, and splice and activate underground and aerial lines.

Close a project by completing daily production sheets, verifying proper levels after activation, and adjust and troubleshoot as necessary

Flexibility to work across all divisions (underground and fiber)

Required Skills:

Experience in UG and/or Aerial fiber.

Skilled in fiber splicing, balance actives, and troubleshooting.

Proficient in new build fiber installation, and pole transfers

Knowledge in building strand, lashing/over lashing, vertical grounds, and building and repairing aerial telecommunication transmission lines.

Performing power loss tests; and dressing fiber cables and jumpers while avoiding exceeding the minimum bend radius.

Willing to work outside in varying weather conditions

REQUIREMENTS:

Valid State driver's license, including an MVR record that is deemed acceptable by the company.

Must successfully pass a pre-employment d--g screen and background check(s)

Must pass a DOT physical and obtain a DOT medical card.

Adhere to all company and OSHA safety policies, procedures and practices.
