I'm at the point where I'm hoping and praying to be laid off. Working at Micron has turned from a pleasure years ago into dreading showing up at work each day.
I'd quit on my own, but at my age...that's not an easy decision to make. At least being laid off would provide me with some kind of a safety net.
Is there any way to volunteer for layoff?
As an equipment technician of 9 years and a 5.0 eval in 2017 August I walked in a quit out of shear PTSD from the environment. Best thing I ever did. I have a job with about 1/4 the stress and higher pay. Too many equipment technician jobs out there to grind in a bunny suit sweat shop.
Why all the down votes for the “nys” reply? OP asked a ridiculously stupid question, and NYS replied with an equally stupid answer. So why all the hate?
Go out and slash all the tires in the parking lot, then go to the men’s room and smash all the toilets with a sledge hammer. This will get you the lay-off you do desperately desire.
