Definitely some in NOLA were noticed.
Divesting business's expect more not less. Imelt to blame the grand vision crumbles into reality.
It’s Power’s turn today.
This is Dylan Martin, the reporter who wrote the story for CRN. The 172 figure in California is based on information I was able to verify myself, which was the result of a public WARN notice GE Digital sent to the state of California's Employment Development Department (you can request a copy for yourself if you call or email them). I tried to get confirmation of the total number of people impacted across all locations (in part by posting my contact info here), but I have only heard from one GE Digital employee in Roanoke so far, and I was not given anything solid enough to include in a story. The GE Digital spokesperson I am in contact with declined to tell me how many people were impacted and all of the locations that were impacted. When you can't get an official comment or documents/people to corroborate information, it's tough to get to the full truth of the matter. While I know figures like 40% and multiple locations have been mentioned here, I have to be really careful that I base my information on sources that I can verify for myself.
Just a hand full more at other locations were let go. Some executives got the heads up a few months ago.
