Many coworkers and management who passed on the phased retirement buyouts last year say they regret that decision. We did an albeit "unofficial" verbal survey in our two bldgs. of 46 GSR - LL5 employees one week ago. All but three said if it was offered again they would take it definitely. Two of the three said they would think about it more seriously this time. The remaining one said yes but only if the offer was more reasonable like, one month severance for each year of service up to two years max. Employee moral is at an all time low for over 50's and under 30's alike. Never seen it this bad in my 20 years on the job; even in 2008. This truly is a toxic work environment. This is so sad.

I honestly do not know why anyone passed up on the PRP last year if you were eligible. In my area of IT (BRM/BIT Marketing and Sales) there were 7 people that took the offer.....and I respected them all, as they were good people but did not want to go through another reorg. Most had 30+ years in, and had seen enough.
The offer was good - you could work 3 months straight, then have 3 months off before officially separated, or work part time for 6 months before leaving. Plus, you got an additional 9 month's pay, outplacement assistance, and had your pension supplemented, as well, until you were 62 (if you were not that age yet...). I was a year short each (age and company time) to qualify. MY hope now is that I survive the cuts this time, and either they offer the same package again later this year or next year...if they do, I will surely take it.
It baffles me so few took the offer......

I am in FBP3, we have no beer and wine station. I think you mean another building.
On a side note, anyone else thinking maybe that beer and wine station in FBP3 may not be the best thing given the overall current atmosphere? Drunk driving lawsuits here we come...
What building is counseling available in? WHQ? FMCC? ITEK? ITHQ?
