Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Walmart is constant changing itself to death

Walmart is hiring workers by the bus load, just about every day they come through with a group of 8 to 10 people for orientation they work for a week or a month or 2 then as soon as they get there time cut to 16 or less hours baby, they are gone. It's like working in a new place each day. This includes managers they come and go it's so much change nothing is ever settled with all the change .walmart is constant changing itself to death. And what is left they work to death and fire them if they cant come up to there standards.I'm not trying to tell you to get a better job than walmart I'm begging you. It's not a reliable job puts you under mental stress trying to do the job and also working for below poverty wages.

Every other f---ing day it's another new person that makes the same ammount of cash that I did, Problem is it took me 8 years to get there, They start off with the better wage right away, What a joke, I see little to no people from 8 years ago one of our former assistant managers said that's all they want is new hires, They don't like the older people that have been here awhile, This Code Spark disaster I am hearing about is the latest thing to get people to quit, They don't like people that ask genuine questions they just want corporate yes men.

And again, as always, the same old caveat applies here: As long as customers continue to support this insanity with their dollars, it will most assuredly continue.

Personally, I think we're witnessing the typical behavior of a business poised on decline and destruction. It's the same kind of 'jack up the prices on everything!!' futile mentality. The next couple years are going to be extremely interesting.

This is what they want. They don't have to pay healthcare. They don't have to pay yearly raises. They don't have to retrain employees to new job roles as they steadily change those to meet the new tech workplace. They can scare the rest of their other employees that they are expendable and easily replaceable. They make all the positions as simple and easy they become dead end. New employees see no future because there is no advancement to success. All this is on purpose by HO.

Sounds like the store I work in. A revolving door of new people. The problem at our store is that people do not get trained. They quit because they are tired of not knowing how to do something. Management doesn’t even know how to train. They just tell people to go look at the CBL ‘s.
