S-xual harassment will absolutely NOT be tolerated at Chevron. Period. Very strict atmosphere as far as this is concerned as well as with any racism, bigotry, etc. Chevron has an extreme mix of people from all nationalities, religions, LGBTQ, etc and respect for the individual is of utmost importance and we are reminded of this frequently.
Denver Post today. Top story in the business section. Wonder why the vp rockies is female??
Just part of the good ol' boy culture. No wonder young people are abandoning this industry.
I worked in that office during that time period. I didn't experience any s-xual harassment, but I did report an issue (that I had known about for a while, but didn't come forward sooner due to fear of retaliation). After I came forward I was specifically told that coming forward effected their decision to not promote me. Subsequently, I was not promoted EVER during my 6 years at the company b/c of this. Reported this to HR and absolutely nothing was done.
Highly suggest NOT coming forward even if they do preach the zero retaliation policy.
I’m not surprised by this story I have been a victim of harrassment in APC, it was reported to HR where they did an “investigation”, then allowed retaliation and they just did no give a thing.
This story has just broken big time over all the media - Bloomberg, MSN, Houston Chronical and lots of investor sites. Google 'Anadarko #metoo'
This is very true - Unfortunately. Anyone who met the fired director of land in Denver can agree - he was an arrogant POS
One must only look for the expedient exits of “top tier” executive assistants to find the answer. Org rotten to the core, all the way up the stem.
Is anyone surprised by this article? Not me. I worked for a total pervert at APC, and s-xual harassment was part of the gig. When this was eventually reported to HR, they ended up suppressing the whole thing and then allowed retaliation. I could have sued, but instead cut my losses, left APC and moved on to a much better company.
Colorado Public Radio is pushing it now. I hope they continue to dig up other 'relationships' that shed a light on how corrupt management was and still is.

Another hatchet job on DNV, why now? Is there a lawsuit pending?

Actually this story is coming up on quite a few different news sites right now, not just Yahoo finance
Everybody knows the background to this story but I agree it's strange that Yahoo ran the story again today
This thread will get taken down if people put names on here. Let's stick to generics and let Yahoo take the flak for naming individuals, just sayin'
Disgruntled former employees.
This story dates from 2017 but why is it being posted on Yahoo finance now?
Click the link on the Yahoo page with the blue box that says 'Story Continues', it has some quite explicit details. WTF is this story coming out now? It has a comment from Chevron too. Is someone trying to derail the takeover process?
The code on this site parses the text of messages, you need to replace the '-' in s-xual with 'e' to follow the link
