Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Do T Rate Lives Matter? Not In GE’s Eyes or Payroll.

My thought if it matters because t Rates lives matter is stock pile cash and spruce up that resume. No union will help you retain this JOB nor will the union find you another job.

Ge will cut as many of the $50000 a year t rate job positions so big wigs can keep getting paid with big bonuses and millions of dollars a year salaries.

I’m saving everything I can and my resume is on the job boards.

Let the layoffs roll in the world keeps turning and GE will still continue if I get laid off or not.

Best advice is prepare yourself for a layoff.

Union busting hah. Only at GE. Unions are a whole 6.6% of private sector jobs. Welcome to the 21st century

pkt Sounds like a management hack trying to infiltrate the site and sow seeds of doubt and union busting.. the union isn’t perfect but who or what is nowadays.. if they weren’t there things would be even worse than they r...hard to believe but oh so true ... and in any org there is 10% of miscreants who just don’t do right.. but at least 75% of do rights

T Rate lives do matter. However, their jobs do not. If GE has any sense at all, they'll get over nostalgia with Schenectady being where the company was founded and move all manufacturing operations as far away from the unions as possible. The whole "We want more money to do less work!" mantra is really confusing and hopefully GE upper management will finally realize that.

And with a mentality like that, is why I voted NO on the T rate bs when it was presented. Its all about poor me getting paid less than the longer serviced guy next to me, all after being told on multiple occasions what your pay would be and that it would be that way forever! Maybe if more time was spent working each day vs jerking off in the bathrooms with your boyfriends, you could actually learn what work ethic is and go find yourself a big-boy job!!! Im really starting to think I should be hoping for a layoff, 2 1/2 more years deep, then there wont be anymore T rates in 273 or R & D !!!
