This company is doing so poorly that they announced today that the bonus payout will be 135% of plan (Enterprise). We truly are fools for sticking around and collecting a fat check for a job well done. Should have gotten out while we still could.

Im enjoying it, too. I've seen a dozen places like Staples, it's just a waste of time. mgmt wants you to work your a-- off and suffer to fix previous plunderings but why should I? just a lot of lies and trickery, I wasted years listening to azz-covering yes-men. its just stupid. yes, theyre lying to you.
Wow, the HR trolls are out on this thread......you can smell their vile stench of propaganda with up votes on all things rosy and fresh and the down votes on the exposure of the decay and rot within Staples.

Who's talking about selloffs? The company keeps acquiring businesses? Just because you wish something was true, doesn't make it so.
Those of you clinging to lifeboats can spin this all you want with skewed metrics; any company that goes from public to private, and then has a continuous workforce reduction, while also constantly talking about sell offs, is a failing company. Plain and simple.

Who cares about your pay grade. Get back to work and continue screwing over your employees so you get another bonus.

If you post is true, that means you are a grade 38 or 39. Sorry to bust your bubble but not everyone at Staples is a 38/39 grade.
The $9000 bonus means they are probably a grade 35 making $85-90k/year.
That’s your problem and SR leadership defining experienced, trustworthy, knowledgeable and critical thinking as fat and deadwood. Sr leadership kept the incompetent, deceitful, mind numb and spineless managers who can willingly be manipulated and controlled.

That bonus is stained with the blood of your colleagues who were let go. They were able to pay this out due to the operating costs being significantly reduced. Think of it as a pre-severance for when you are next on the list. Getting bonuses and promoted while those around you are being let go isn’t something to be proud of.

I was in good standing my last day was actually 2/3. 1/18 was the day I was told.
You needed to be employed and in good standing through 2/3 not 1/18.
Bonus! What you aren’t being f’d in the backside twice. Try this.... my official last day was the first day of FY 2019. So I was a grade 36 for the complete FY2018. So by my severance package I should be due my APA bonus, but nooooo. Not only was my performance strong in 2018, but every year since 2005!! In my outtake both HR and Mgr said I would be receiving my bonus(btw, have it recorded since my state is a one party consent to record conversations)It appears I won’t be receiving my bonus. So f’d on 1/18, f’d again on 3/22. At least they allowed my but to heal a little before bending me over again.
Stay if you want to work for a slimy no integrity company, but the outside looking in Staples has no soul and is a hot mess of incompetence and deceivers.
